About us

LGSA (Pty) Ltd is a South African media and entertainment company. Through LightVille Games, we build South African online games and the communities around them. We started as a YouTube channel for game mods. Today we run GTAMO and LightVille RP, where players from across South Africa live out a second life in a city that sounds, looks and feels like home.

LightVille Games

LightVille Games is LGSA's game studio. It designs, builds and runs our games.

GTAMO

GTA Mzansi Online is our online multiplayer platform, built on GTA San Andreas multiplayer. It brings the South African spirit of GTA Mzansi online. With the GTAMO launcher, players on Android can install and play in one tap, with no copying of files or renaming of folders.

LightVille RP

Our flagship roleplay server on GTAMO. LightVille is set in a fictional South African province of San Andreas. It runs on Rand, with the SAPS on patrol, the FMD on call and a player-driven economy. Players build a life there as civilians, business owners, police officers, medics, mechanics or criminals. The in-fiction LightVille Gazette reports on it all every week.

Our story

2020: It started on YouTube

LGSA launched in October 2020 with football mods. Within a few months we moved to GTA San Andreas mods for Android, and never looked back.

2021: GTA Mzansi

Out of that mod era came GTA Mzansi, a South African take on GTA San Andreas. Our website started as a place to share those mods.

2022: GTAM goes online

GTA Mzansi took the idea multiplayer, with a server where South African players could meet, roleplay and build something together. Our website changed with it, and became the home of game updates, server news and in-character stories.

2026: LightVille

In March 2026 we launched LightVille, a new server rebuilt from the ground up in-house. The GTAMO Android launcher followed, making it easier than ever to get in the game. We adopted the name LightVille Games for our studio and moved to lightvillegames.com.

2026: Limitless Group

To give our players a safe, professional and properly run home, we established the LGSA (Pty) Ltd as the legal company behind it all.

Leadership

Sam Thompson, Founder and President

Sam founded LGSA in 2020 and has led it from a mod channel to a live online game. He also leads a team of more than 50 staff who run the server, its factions and its community every day.

LightVille is run by its community. If you are an active player who wants to help shape the city, we would love to hear from you.

Roles we recruit for

Supervisors help players, handle reports, enforce the rules and keep the server running smoothly.
Faction leadership runs SAPS, the FMD, VESA and other factions, including rosters, training and day-to-day roleplay.
Community roles cover onboarding new players, running events, marketing and managing our social platforms.

What we look for

You are an active LightVille player in good standing, with no recent bans.
You treat other players with respect, including when things get heated.
You can commit to regular shifts and communicate when you cannot.

How to apply. Join our Discord server and follow the instructions in the applications channel. We announce open positions there and on our social media.

All development on LightVille is done in-house, so we do not recruit for development or scripting roles.

Staff positions are voluntary community roles. They are not employment with LGSA (Pty) Ltd.
