1. Legal documents
2. Trademarks
LGSA®, LightVille® and LightVille Games®, together with their logos, are registered trademarks owned by or licensed to LGSA (Pty) Ltd.
You may not use our trademarks or logos in a way that suggests we endorse, sponsor or are connected to you, your product or your server, without our written permission. You may refer to our names to describe our games, for example in reviews, news articles, videos and streams, as allowed by section 11 of our Terms of Service.
All other trademarks on this site belong to their owners, including Rockstar Games, Grand Theft Auto, San Andreas, Take-Two Interactive, SA-MP, Discord, YouTube, Google and Android. We use them only to identify those products and services.
3. Copyright
© 2020–2026 LGSA (Pty) Ltd. All rights reserved.
Unless stated otherwise, we own the copyright in our original work, or use it under licence. This includes our gamemode scripts, maps, the GTAMO launcher, website design, videos, graphics, the LightVille Gazette and all written content on this site. You may not copy, sell, redistribute, modify or reverse-engineer it without our written permission, except where the law allows.
4. Rockstar Games, Take-Two and SA-MP
LightVille and GTAMO are independent fan-made multiplayer projects. They are not made, endorsed, sponsored or supported by Rockstar Games, Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. or the SA-MP team.
Grand Theft Auto, GTA and San Andreas are trademarks of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. GTA San Andreas and its game files are the property of Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive. Players need their own legitimate copy of GTA San Andreas. The GTAMO launcher distributes mod and server files only, and does not include the original game.
5. Community mods and models
Our modpack includes vehicle models, skins, textures and other assets made by members of the wider GTA modding community, alongside our own work. We are grateful to every creator whose work helps bring LightVille to life.
Over the years, we have not been able to trace the original author of every asset. If you created something in our modpack, email legal@lightvillegames.com and let us know whether you would like us to:
- Credit you by name on this page, or
- Remove your work from the modpack.
We will act on removal requests in the next modpack update. If there is a serious concern, we will act sooner.
6. Reporting infringement (take-down notices)
We respect the rights of creators and rights holders. If you believe that content on our website, in our modpack, on our game server or in our community spaces infringes your copyright, trademark or other rights, or is otherwise unlawful, you can send us a take-down notice. Our process follows the requirements of section 77 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, 2002.
What to include
Email your notice to legal@lightvillegames.com with "Take-down notice" in the subject line. It must include:
- Your full name and address
- Your written or electronic signature
- The right you believe has been infringed
- The material or activity you want removed, and where to find it, such as a link, file name or in-game location
- What you would like us to do about it
- Your telephone number and email address
- A statement that you are acting in good faith
- A statement that the information in your notice is, to your knowledge, true and correct
If you are acting for someone else, such as a company or client, please say so and show that you are authorised to act for them.
What happens next
- We will acknowledge your notice within 5 business days.
- If your notice is complete and valid, we will remove or disable access to the material as soon as reasonably possible. Material in the modpack is removed in the next update, or sooner for urgent cases.
- Where appropriate, we will tell the person who posted the material that it was removed and why.
- If your notice is incomplete, we will tell you what is missing.
If your content was removed
If you believe your content was removed by mistake, or that you have the right to use it, email legal@lightvillegames.com with "Counter-notice" in the subject line. Explain why, and include your contact details. We will review it and may restore the content.
False notices
Under the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, a person who sends a take-down notice knowing that it materially misrepresents the facts is liable for any damage caused by the wrongful take-down.
Repeated infringement by a player may lead to action under our Terms of Service, including a ban.
7. Reporting other concerns
- Security vulnerabilities. If you find a security weakness in our website, Store, launcher or game server, email legal@lightvillegames.com with "Security" in the subject line. Please do not use it, share it publicly or access other people's data. We will not take action against anyone who reports a vulnerability to us in good faith.
- Game exploits and bugs. Report these to staff on our Discord server, as required by our Terms of Service.
- Child safety. If you see any content or behaviour that puts a child at risk, report it to support@lightvillegames.com immediately. We will remove the content, ban the accounts involved and report it to the South African Police Service. If a child is in immediate danger, contact the police on 10111 first.
