From today, every staff member, faction leader and faction member can sign in at staff.lightvillegames.com with their Discord and find everything their role needs in one place, on their phone.
It's called the Staff Kit. You might never open it yourself, but you'll feel it in game: help arrives faster, rules are applied the same way for everyone, and the city stays running even when staff aren't logged in. Here's what changes.
For every player
Locked out? Staff can get you back in
Forgot your password? Ask in a Discord support ticket. A Manager or above can now reset it from the Staff Kit in under a minute. This is how it works:
- Your old password stops working. If you're in game at that moment, you're disconnected.
- Our bot sends a new 5-digit code to your Discord DMs.
- Connect, enter the code, and choose a new password, the same way you did when you joined.
- Your characters, money, cars, houses and items stay exactly as they are.
For the code to reach you, three things need to be true:
- your account is linked to the Discord you actually use;
- you're still in the LightVille Discord;
- you allow direct messages from server members (in the LightVille Discord: tap the server name, then switch on Allow Direct Messages).
Staff will never ask you for your password or your code. Anyone who does is not staff. Report them.
Logging off doesn't end it any more
Staff can now act on a rule break even after the player has left the server. A jail is waiting for them when they log back in, and warnings and bans apply straight away. Leaving the server to dodge a punishment doesn't work.
The rules haven't changed. Staff get exactly the same powers on the Staff Kit that they have in game, nothing more. Every action needs a reason and is logged with the staff member's name. No fines can be given from the Staff Kit.
No more surprise restarts
When the server needs maintenance, you'll see a countdown first, so you can finish what you're doing, park your car and log off safely.
For staff and faction members
Sign in at staff.lightvillegames.com with Continue with Discord. Use the Discord linked to your game account. You only see what your role uses. If your role has staff tools, your Discord needs two-step verification switched on (Discord Settings, then My Account).

Tools you can use from your phone
The tools you see depend on your role. You only get what you can already do in game.
- Supervisors and above: look up a player, jail, unjail, warn, kick and ban, whether the player is online or not.
- Manager and above: reset a password, unban, server announcements and restart countdowns.
- Chiefs: invite to your faction, remove from it and set ranks, even when the member is offline. Also set shift blocks and approve leave.
The shift rule, in plain words
- Be on duty in your rostered block on at least 4 days a week, Monday to Sunday.
- A day counts when you spend an hour or more inside your block.
- Your Staff Kit shows last week's days, so you always know where you stand.
- Approved leave never counts as a miss. Exams, matric, family: ask your Chief (or the Manager, if you're admin staff) before your block. They can set it in game with /leave or on the Staff Kit.
Why we built it
LightVille is busier than it has ever been, and the people keeping it running deserve better than screenshots, lost reports and waiting until someone senior logs in. The Staff Kit puts the right tools in the right hands, keeps a record of every decision, and frees our staff to spend their time where it matters most: in the city, with you.
